As a longtime government access provider, Birnbaum Interpreting Services serves all levels of government, including state and local levels. Just as small business is the backbone of the American economy, state and local government provide the foundation of our democracy. BIS provides services for both the Washington, DC area and beyond, including:

• State of Maryland Department of Safety & Correctional Services

• Maryland Department of Health

• Deaf in Government

• 16th Judicial Circuit in Key West, Florida

BIS is a proud provider of both onsite and video remote sign language interpreting services for the entities noted above, and more. Furthermore, BIS is seeking to expand into foreign language access services as we continue to build out our infrastructure for state and local governments.
