Brian Birnbaum is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) and second-generation leader at BIS. As the son of BIS’s founder, Brian brings a lifelong connection to the Deaf community and a deep commitment to advancing high-quality, compliant ASL and accessibility solutions for organizations.

Connie Anderson

Connie Anderson

Connie is a nationally certified ASL interpreter and CODA whose life and career have been deeply rooted in accessibility services, with ASL as her first language. With more than 20 years at BIS, she has advanced from frontline VRS and VRI interpreting to ASL and Administration Manager, leading nationwide video remote interpreting services and interpreter recruitment in support of accessible communication at scale.

Daniel Sommer

Daniel Sommer

Daniel works at the intersection of accessibility, language, and technology. He began his career in real-time and post-production captioning and now combines project management with technical development across captioning, audio description, and ASL localization. His work with BIS focuses on building accessibility solutions that scale responsibly while prioritizing quality and user experience.

Mary Grothe

Mary Grothe

Mary is the Chief Revenue Officer at Piedmont Global, where she focuses on expanding partnerships and delivering measurable value for clients and partners.
